Who can join MAEVE Somerville?

Any and all moms with a child of any age in the Somerville, NJ area are welcome to join! We also encourage expecting mothers to reach out as well!

I live outside of Somerville. Can I still join?

You are able to join as an affiliate member. We can also support you in creating your own chapter of MAEVE in your hometown!

What are the membership contributions?

We are a member-supported non-profit. The bulk of our operational costs, community and members-only programming, and charitable service is supported by the generous contributions of our members! Read more here.

I work fulltime. Can I join MAEVE?

Yes! We have a variety of moms in our group — stay-at-home, part-time, and full-time working moms included. You can find community and connections in many ways, through mom-only events, playdates, our private Facebook group, monthly book club meetings, and service initiatives that fit your schedule. There is no requirement of a minimum number of events to attend.

What types of service projects do you organize?

Our service projects focus on supporting our local Somerville community. For example, we organize an annual back-to-school backpack and supplies donation for local families and we fundraise for our Thanksgiving meal drive as well.

I don’t use Facebook. How can I stay connected?

Even if you are not part of our private Facebook group, you can connect through our events, service projects, and email. Don’t forget to read our newsletter and check our online calendar and Instagram, too!
